Adolfo Guandalini, DMV, Ph.D., Dipl. ECVO, DIU Chir. RetinoVitreenne (Italy)

Adolfo graduated from veterinary medicine at the University of Perugia (1988). In 1998, he became a European-recognized specialist in ophthalmology and obtained the title of Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (ECVO). In 2001, he defended his Ph.D. in veterinary ophthalmology, and in 2015, he obtained a DIU (Diplome Inter Universitaire) in Vitreoretinal Surgery from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Dijon. He is a member of the ECVO Hereditary Eye Diseases Committee and chairman of the Italian panel of ECVO diplomats. He lectures in veterinary ophthalmology at the Speciality School in Medicine and Surgery of the Horse at the University of Teramo. Since 1997, he has been a lecturer and director of the annual SOVI-SCIVAC-ESVPS ophthalmology course. He has lectured at numerous international conferences. He is the author and co-author of several scientific studies published in national and international journals.
